So there has been discussion about having a K1 and K event in Ireland in 2026. The weekend of Friday Saturday Sunday 11 12 13 September has been suggested. Wexford has been suggested as a base, it is only 20 minutes from Rosslare ferry port with ferry service to Wales, Cherbourg, Dunkirk and Bilbao. The three operators are

What we are considering is using Wexford hotel as our base and there are lots of good ride options from there. We are considering getting an early booking rate for people to book direct with the hotel for accommodation.

There is a local company here that ships bikes to and from Sweden, Norway, Spain, Hungary and Germany too, [www.overlanders.ie) and some of our members have used these. For anyone wishing to do this it is possible to fly to Dublin and take a direct coach from the airport to Wexford. Given ferry arrival times we would probably organise something for the Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th as well. I would welcome comments and ideas. I would be planning to go to France on the Sunday 13th ferry to Cherbourg.
